Best Places to Elope in the US

Making the decision to elope is always such an exciting time. The next question many couples ask is, "where should we elope?" The beautiful thing about eloping is that it opens up so many possibilities. So how does one narrow that down? Here is a list of the best places to elope in the US. Hopefully that will help bring some insight when choosing the perfect location for you!

C O L O R A D O

Full of variety, one cannot go wrong when eloping in Colorado. From mountains, deserts, lakes, rivers, to dark green trees. There is so much natural beauty. Colorado is one of the few states that legally recognizes self solemnization, which means you two could be your own officiants and sign your marriage license. Pretty rad! U T A H

If you both are adventurous, I would recommend looking into Utah. So much opportunity for adventures. Endless views of red rocks, canyons, mountains and even the well known salt flats. There is so much to do; rock climbing, hiking, rock crawling (off roading), white water rafting, etc. Why not make your elopement filled with fun and adventure?

O R E G O N

Oregon is a very popular place to elope in the US. It's scenery is just magical. From over 100 water falls, mountains, towering forests and the breath taking Oregon coast. Some of these locations are just to die for and make for the most epic pictures.

C A L I F O R N I A

California is another popular elopement destination. Yosemite National Park could easily be argued as "out of this world". It is the ultimate dream for so many couples. California is a very large state, which means so many places to choose from. There's sand dunes, wine country, Joshua Tree and of course the coast.

W Y O M I N G

A well kept secret, many people wouldn't even consider Wyoming as being a possibility. Grand Teton National Park and Yellowstone are definitely the most popular Wyoming destinations, but certainly not the only. Wyoming is filled with majestic mountains, sand dunes, rivers, valleys and so much more. There is quite a lot of public land in Wyoming as well, so if you are wanting something remote and not needing a venue, Wyoming has you covered.
